After arriving in Lhasa, you will be met and transferred to hotel.The rest of time is free. If you come to Lhasa by plane, your will have a chance to see Nyetang Giant Buddha at the bank of the Kyichu River,30fthigh, which was caved in 11th century AD on the way to Lhasa.
Lhasa ( B,L)
Highlights: Potola Palace, Jokhang Temple, Barkhor Street
Pick-up from your hotel around 8:00 am,We first visit the Potola Palace. The Potala Palace is considered to be a model of Tibetan architecture. In 641, Songtsan Gambo, ruler of the Tubo Kingdom, had the Potala Palace built for Princess Wencheng of the Tang Dynasty, his future bride.Then move on to Jokhang Temple.Jokhang Temple, located on Barkhor Square in Lhasa, is Tibet’s first Buddhist temple and is part of the Potala Palace. It is the ultimate pilgrimage destination for Tibetan pilgrims.
After lunch, continue to visit the Barkhor Street .The streets are full of religious atmosphere and show the original Lhasa. Shops offer prayer wheels, chubas (traditional Tibetan clothing), Tibetan knives and religious articles for sale. When tour is over, you will be transferred back to your hotel, free on your own at the rest of the day.

After breakfast,We first visit the Sera monastery.The Sera Monastery is the representative monastery of the Gelugpa of the Tibetan Buddhism. It lies on the southern slope of the Serawoze Mountain in the northern suburbs of Lhasa. The monastery was built by SagyaYexei, one of the disciples of Tsongkhapa who was the founder of Gelugpa of the Tibet Buddhism in 1419. It is one of the six main monasteries of the Gelugpa of the Tibetan Buddhism. As one of the three main monasteries of Lhasa, it is here that the monks “famous daily debates” take place.
After lunch, drive to the The Tibet Museum–Located at the southeast corner of Norbu Lingka, Lhasa, it is the first modern museum in Tibet. It covers an area of 53,959 square meters and has a floor space of 23,508 square meters including an exhibition area of 10,45 I square meters. The museum demonstrates a strict and magnificent traditional Tibetan architectural style. Also it reflects a salient feature of modern architectural art.
When tour is over, you will be transferred back to your hotel by driver, free on your own at the rest of the day.

First visit Yumbulakhang Palace, Yumbulakhang is the first Palace in the history of Tibet, which highlights its profound characteristic. Then continue to visit Tradruk Temple, which is said to have been the second of Tibet’s earliest great geomantric temples after the Jokhang.In Tibetan, Trandruk refers to a roc and a dragon. As the legend goes, the site where the Trandruk Monastery lies once was a big lake and an evil dragon with five heads lived in the lake. The evil dragon often made trouble for people living around the lake. In order to defeat the dragon and bring the locals back to normal life, Songtsen Gampo turned into a roc and fought with the dragon. Eventually, the dragon was killed. Hence, the Trandruk Monastery was built to commemorate Songtsen Gampo’s great deeds.
